Please join Baxter Brewing Company as we celebrate the completion of our first year of business by unveiling the new “Baxter Lounge” on the 3rd floor of the Androscoggin Bank Colisee in Lewiston, Maine. Please note that this party is by invitation ONLY (if you’ve received an email invite, than you’re invited and welcome to bring a “plus one”. No need to RSVP, but we will be checking names and IDs at the door) and semi-formal attire is recommended.

We will be serving hors d’oeuvres and finger desserts (there will not be a full dinner) and pints of Baxter beers will be on sale in the Lounge for $3, including a sneak peak test batch of our new Summer Ale, which will debut in April!

The party runs from 7-10pm with live music from 8-10pm. For directions to the Androscoggin Bank Colisee, please click the map below. Help us ring in our one year anniversary and here’s to many more to come!

Can Finder Update

Good afternoon everbody! A quick announcement for you.
We are temporarily taking our Can Finder offline starting 10/20/2011 and running through the weekend. We are updating the list and need to start from scratch, repopulating it manually. And it’s all up to me! As I edit the list, you may be able to use the Can Finder to find some of our distribution locations. We appreciate your patience while we do this much needed maintenance, and we’ll let you know when we are back up running at full speed.

Brand spankin’ new October Brew News!

It’s been awhile since we last posted anything on our blog. In fact, this is the first true post here at the Baxter Brew Blog. So, I figured I’d tell you a little about what’s going on at the Brewery, because let’s face it, that’s what you’re here for.

Amber Road

We’re planning to release our third beer on November 1, 2011! We’re pretty stoked to announce Amber Road. While there’s not much info to give about this malt forward beer, we can say that it will sit around 5.5% ABV and a tasty 35 IBUs. That’s all I know about it, but as I get more info from our brewers, you can be sure you’ll read it here first.

Distribution in Boston

Baxter Brewing is moving up in the world. Only a few weeks ago we expanded our distribution to the Greater Boston and North Shore areas in Massachusetts. And of course, demand has been wild for our Pamola Xtra Pale Ale and Stowaway IPA. Don’t worry, we’ll let you know as we expand our distributions to other areas of New England. Thanks to everyone who’s been supporting us!

New Employees

Baxter n00bs: Rori and Chris

September saw a bunch of exciting changes within the Baxter Brewing Co. family, not the least of which was the addition of two new employees. Rori Crossman is our new Sales Rep and Brand CANsultant. Joining us from the wonderful world of public education, Rori’s now here to give us all an education in beer. Chris Cavallari joins us from the TV and video world, now making his debut as the Retail and Tours Coordinator. Chris will run the gift store, give you a free tour (Thursday through Sunday, tours at 12pm, 2pm, and 4pm!), and chat with you on the Baxter Brew Blog, Baxter Brew News email newsletter, and on Facebook and Twitter.
