Luke Livingston grew up in the Lewiston-Auburn, Maine community and decided to return home after attending Clark University in Worcester, MA, where he received a BA in Communications & Culture in 2007. Livingston developed an obsession with craft beer and began brewing his own from his college dormitory. An obsession that led to the successful online beer journal,, which he authored for nearly four years. After losing his mother, Barbara, to breast cancer in January 2009, Livingston took the leap of faith to sell, leave his day job, and publish a business plan that would later become Baxter Brewing Company. Luke is an excellent juggler, a big baseball fan and plays lots of disc sports. Livingston serves on the Boards of Directors for Portland, Maine-based PROPEL and the Lewiston-Auburn Economic Growth Council (LAEGC). He was named one of Forbes Magazine’s 30 Under 30 Most Influential Entrepreneurs of 2011. His favorite beer styles are porters and stouts. Sorry ladies, he’s married to the Business “Hoperations” Manager, Chelsea. Follow Luke @baxterluke
